Moving Kinship® brings choreography, film, live music and embodied participation into dialogue with lived experience, memory and social justice.
Developed through Beatrice Allegranti’s transdisciplinary feminist practice, Moving Kinship creates site-responsive performances and participatory spaces in which artists and communities explore how bodies remember, relate, resist and repair.
Working across artistic disciplines, generations and borders, the methodology brings professional performance and community encounters into reciprocal relationship.
Moving Kinship Europe
The 2025 Perform Europe-supported project brought this methodology into four European contexts—Italy, Latvia, Ukraine and the Netherlands—through feminist performance hubs and site-specific works.
Now evolving: UNARMED / НЕОЗБРОЄНІ
Emerging from the Ukrainian performance UNARMED: Among the Flowers I Find Myself (2025), this proposed 60-minute immersive touring work reconfigures its choreography across Lviv, Riga and Maastricht.
